Whomever it was was goingto get quite the lecture from him about that. Clary was the furthestthing from bad he could think of. If anything he knew he was the badperson. He'd allowed himself to be controlled by Lilith, he'd hurtthose around him and had almost killed the woman he loved because ofthe Owl. Jace knew that none of it was his fault, but if they weregoing to start labelling people as bad he would definitely be one ofthose with that particular label. But they weren't there to talkabout him. Clary had come to him and he needed to figure out what wasgoing on. "Who told you you were a bad person?"

"clary." he'd never seen the rune that had been carved into clary's shoulder. given the fact that lilith had more than likely carved it into her skin, it couldn't be good. but if he went to the grey book they'd know something had happened. maybe he should take her to magnus. if anyone could tell them what sort of rune they were dealing with, he would. first, jace wanted to make certain she really was okay. "you know i won't just stop worrying because you said so and that's not like anything i've ever seen." and he'd seen a lot of different things. it actually worried him because of the time she'd spent with lilith. there was no telling what she'd done to clary and if this wasn't an angelic rune — he couldn't help but think they needed to speak with magnus. even though he didn't have magic he'd still know just what it was they were dealing with. and they needed to know before the clave decided to lock them both in the gard for their actions. "we should go speak with magnus."
